Nokia and Latvia’s largest mobile operator, LMT, have entered into a strategic agreement to co-develop a 5G tactical communications system designed specifically for defence use in the Baltic region. The partnership merges Nokia’s cutting-edge 5G radio technologies with LMT’s expertise in the defence sector.
This combined solution aims to enable real-time data sharing between unmanned vehicles, sensors, and military units on the battlefield, enhancing situational awareness and secure interoperability to support collective defence efforts.
