Former manager of the late Highlife legend Daddy Lumba, Philip Kwabena Agyeman Appiah-Kubi, better known as Roman Fada, has dismissed rumors that he distributed funeral invitations on behalf of the musician’s family.
In an interview with Kofi Adoma Nwanwani on Kofi TV, Roman Fada labeled the accusations as baseless and emphasized that those who truly know him understand he would not engage in such actions.
“I am making it clear that I have not visited people to share invitations for Daddy Lumba’s funeral. Anyone who has received any invitation should come and speak out publicly,” he said.
He explained that, to his knowledge, the head of the late singer’s family, Victor Kofi Owusu Banahene, and the funeral committee have not yet printed any official invitation cards for the ceremony.
Addressing claims that he visited Kumasi to invite spiritual leader Opambour, Roman Fada clarified that the trip was solely tied to his political duties with the Ghana Freedom Party, not funeral matters.
Roman Fada strongly refuted the circulating rumors about distributing Daddy Lumba’s funeral invitations, stressing his trip to Kumasi was for political, not personal, reasons.
