Actor Jeremy Renner is facing new allegations of misconduct from Chinese director Yi Zhou. She shared her experience with the Daily Mail, claiming that the Avengers star made threats and acted aggressively towards her during their brief relationship.
Yi Zhou, 37, stated that Renner threatened to “call ICE” after she began dating him in October 2025. She also alleged that Renner sent her disturbing and unsolicited photos of himself.
“I was discussing the doc logistics, then he drank a bottle of wine alone and got angrier and angrier, yelling for two hours,” she said. “I had to lock myself in a room to be safe, praying he would not come into the room at night, as he was really angry. I did not say a word; I was so scared for my life.”
According to Zhou, her communication with Renner began in June 2025 over Instagram and WhatsApp when they were planning collaborative projects. On Instagram, she also shared that Renner threatened her when she brought up his past behavior.
“When I called him out privately about his past misconduct and asked him to behave properly, to respect me as a woman and as a filmmaker, he threatened to call immigration/ICE on me, an act that deeply shocked and frightened me,” she wrote.
Yi Zhou is known for her work as a director and multimedia artist. The new claims add to prior controversies surrounding the Hollywood actor, who is best known for his role as Hawkeye in the Avengers series.
