A well-known singer-songwriter was banned from a Gold’s Gym in Los Angeles following a heated argument with a transgender woman over locker room access. The incident led the gym to cancel memberships of both members involved.
Tish Hyman, 42, a singer-songwriter from the Bronx, New York, shared footage of a confrontation with the trans woman after seeing her in the women’s changing room. The trans woman, identified by TMZ as Alexis Black, is currently transitioning and taking hormones but still has male genitalia.
“Now he knows how to be a man, right? Stay outta the women’s locker room! We don’t want it,” Hyman says in the clip. “He needs to have his gym membership revoked for that s**t!”
Hyman emphasized that she and other women had previously complained about Alexis Black using the women’s locker room.
"You can’t get rid of me for this! I’m a woman and I have every right not to want a man in the rest room when I’m naked! There are girls naked in there!”
Alexis Black stated that she was never fully exposed to Hyman and does not believe the situation should be an issue.
Following the dispute, Gold’s Gym in Los Angeles terminated both individuals’ memberships, aiming to address the tensions surrounding changeroom access.
