Remembrance Day Parades 2025: Bus Service Changes on Sunday 9 November

On Remembrance Sunday, 9th November 2025, some bus routes across the county will temporarily change due to parade events. While the following are the main notified disruptions, others may briefly affect bus services.

Silent Observance at 11am

At 11am on Sunday 9th and Tuesday 11th November, bus drivers will observe two minutes of silence. Where it is safe, they will park their buses and switch off engines, inviting passengers to join in the national remembrance.

Free Travel for Service Personnel

NCT offers free travel to all serving military personnel, cadets, and veterans from 8th to 11th November 2025. To qualify, passengers must show valid ID or be in uniform when boarding.

Road Closures and Bus Diversions

Calverton Parade Impact

On Sunday 9th November, the Sky Blue 61 route will be affected from 09:00 until 12:00 due to a parade in Calverton.

East Leake Road Closure

Main Street in East Leake will close from 10:30 to 11:45 on Sunday 9th November. The South Notts 1 bus will be diverted via Main Street, Castle Hill, and Loughborough Road during this time.

"At 11am (on Sunday 9th and Tuesday 11th), bus drivers will observe the 2 minutes silence and will, where safe to do so, park their buses and turn off their engines and the company invites you to join them in national remembrance."
