As the Malveaux era enters its second season on the Plains, the Tigers welcome a dynamic group of new players wearing Orange and Blue for the first time at Jane B. Moore Field. Among them is left-handed pitcher Abby Herndon from Killen, Alabama.
Herndon joins Auburn after spending her first collegiate year at Ole Miss. Although she didn’t appear in a game that season, her standout high school career includes being named a three-time all-state honoree at Brooks High School.
Herndon: I was four when I started tee ball, and about six when I began playing softball.
Herndon: We would always be in the yard, hitting off the tee and practicing from a very young age.
Herndon: I got her book when I was ten and read it. She was always a player I watched.
Herndon: Keep trusting the process and enjoy every moment on the field.
A gifted newcomer from Alabama, Abby Herndon represents the spirit of Auburn’s future with her devoted work ethic, early passion for the game, and drive to keep improving.
