David Taylor, formerly of Tarbolton Crescent, Hale, began an eight-month stalking campaign in August last year after being banned from his former GP’s practice.
The 56-year-old was placed on the practice’s barred list due to his aggressive and alarming behavior toward the GP on site. Despite the ban, Taylor sought out her business profile online and messaged her. When blocked, he created another account to request his medical records to be sent to a new GP.
Growing increasingly frightened, the GP continued blocking Taylor’s contact attempts. He then started posting inappropriate comments on her business Facebook page.
The situation escalated on March 26 when the GP answered the door at her Knutsford home to find Taylor standing there, asking to speak with her. After her initial shock, she quickly shut the door, contacted her husband, and called 999.
“With Taylor knowing where she and her family lived, the victim was left living in fear and no longer felt able to live her life normally.”
David Taylor has now received one of the country’s longest jail terms for stalking, reflecting the severity of his terrifying and obsessive behavior.
This case highlights the devastating impact of stalking on victims, illustrating how persistent harassment can cause long-lasting fear and disrupt normal life.
