The University of Toronto community will come together on November 11 to observe Remembrance Day, marking the 80th anniversary of the end of the Second World War. Events are organized across all three campuses to honour soldiers and veterans who served in the First and Second World Wars, as well as other conflicts. All members of the U of T community are encouraged to participate.
Flags will be lowered to half-mast at each campus to recognize the service of U of T students, faculty, staff, and alumni who have served.
The Service of Remembrance will be held at Soldiers’ Tower on the St. George campus. Proceedings start with a carillon recital by composer and performer Naoko Tsujita at 10:10 a.m., followed by the official ceremony at 10:30 a.m.

Similar events will take place at the U of T Scarborough and U of T Mississauga campuses to honour veterans and remember those who served.
