Rapper Young Bleed Dies from Brain Aneurysm, Family Says

Many may know Young Bleed, born Glenn Clifton Jr., for his hit single "How You Do Dat" and his connection with the rap label No Limit Records. He performed at the Cash Money–No Limit Verzuz concert in Las Vegas on October 25th. Hours after the show, he was rushed to the hospital.

According to his family, after the concert, Clifton joined friends to celebrate and performed once more. Later that night, he collapsed. His mother, Florida Allen, explained that he suffered a brain aneurysm which led to cardiac arrest.

"Before they could get to him, he was out of oxygen for a while, and that's when they told us that he had no life in the brain," Allen said.

Clifton died on November 1st at the age of 51, survived by his mother and five children.

"Nobody ever expected him to, you know, not come home; he's never not done that," said his son Ty'Gee Clifton.

Before his passing, the family stated he had no major health problems, aside from high blood pressure.

"I'm going to miss him, I'm not mad because he is gone, he left doing what he loved doing," Allen shared.

Clifton began his rap career in Baton Rouge as a member of the hip-hop group “Concentration Camp,” formed in 1995.
