Zarine Khan, the wife of veteran actor and filmmaker Sanjay Khan, passed away on Friday morning at her home in Mumbai at the age of 81. She was the mother of Sussanne Khan, Zayed Khan, Simone Arora, and Farah Ali Khan.
Zarine married Sanjay Khan in 1966 after they met in the 1960s, reportedly at a bus stop where they fell in love instantly. The couple had four children together: Sussanne Khan, Zayed Khan, Simone Arora, and Farah Ali Khan.
Zarine Khan co-starred with Dev Anand in the 1963 Hindi film Tere Ghar Ke Samne.
According to a News18 report, Zarine had been suffering from age-related illnesses for some time before her death on November 7, 2025. She passed away peacefully at her Mumbai residence.
Sussanne Khan posted a heartfelt message on her mother’s birthday earlier this year in July, which included a video collage and the words:
“‘Mama Mia…' My My.. what an amazing Mama you are…Happiest happy birthday my gorgeous beautiful mommy.. all that I do and All that I create in my Life has to do with the way you formed my heart, my mind n my grit...”
Zarine Khan is survived by her husband Sanjay Khan and their four children.
