Laying of the First Poppy and Remembrance Sunday Parade in Middlesbrough
Middlesbrough will honor those who fought in global conflicts and paid the ultimate price. Elected Mayor Chris Cooke will lay the First Poppy at the Cenotaph on Linthorpe Road at 10:45 am on Thursday, November 6.
Local school pupils are invited to place poppy crosses on the Field of Remembrance.
Remembrance Sunday Parade & Service
- Date: Sunday, November 9
- The parade will begin at 10:30 am and proceed to The Cenotaph for the service.
- The service is expected to conclude around 12:30 pm.
- Mayor Chris Cooke and other civic officials will attend.
- The service will be live-streamed on the Council's Facebook page for remote attendees.
Armistice Day Service
The Armistice Day service will be held at The Cenotaph on Tuesday, November 11, starting at 10:45 am, including a two-minute silence.
Reverend David Goodhew, Vicar of St Barnabas Church, will lead the services.
