The Emirates NBA Cup returns for its third edition. Tournament play began on October 31 and will culminate in the championship game in December. All 30 NBA teams were randomly placed into six groups of five based on their 2024–25 win-loss records within their respective conferences.
Each team will play four games during the group stage. The top team in each group, along with two wild-card teams, will move on to the knockout round. All NBA Cup games count toward the regular season standings, except the final. Players on knockout-stage teams will receive prize money, which increases as teams advance.
The Emirates NBA Cup blends competition, team pride, and financial incentives, giving mid-season play new intensity.
The third Emirates NBA Cup features all 30 teams divided into groups, with results affecting the regular season and rewarding deep-run teams financially.
