David Harbour and Millie Bobby Brown have always portrayed a turbulent relationship on Netflix's popular show Stranger Things. However, new reports reveal serious allegations against Harbour, 50, accusing him of bullying and harassing Brown offscreen.
Harbour, who plays ex-police chief Jim Hopper — the adoptive father of Brown’s character Eleven — reportedly faced an internal inquiry after the British actress lodged complaints about his behavior during production. The investigation, which lasted for several months, reportedly involved extensive allegations.
“Millie Bobby Brown filed a harassment and bullying claim before they started shooting the last season. There were pages and pages of accusations. The investigation went on for months.”
The Mail on Sunday understands that the inquiry did not involve any claims of sexual misconduct.
Besides the harassment claims, Harbour is also accused of cheating on his estranged wife, singer-songwriter Lily Allen. Allen’s new album reportedly addresses Harbour’s infidelity, but she remained a strong support for him during the difficult period.
“Lily supported him throughout it all. It was a brutal time.”
The allegations surfaced ahead of the release of the fifth and final season of Stranger Things, where the complex relationship between Harbour’s and Brown’s characters remains a focal point.
Netflix has declined to comment on the investigation.
