A viral video claims to depict the NEOM Stadium—the sports venue planned as part of the Saudi Arabian NEOM megaproject—sitting atop a skyscraper. However, these images are AI-generated by an online user and do not represent the official design.
The striking stadium visuals have been widely shared on social media since late October. Users say the footage shows the stadium intended for The Line, a futuristic city within the NEOM project.
On October 26, Rwandan user Edwin Musoni posted the clip to X, where it quickly received 3.5 million views. The video features a football stadium seemingly perched 1,150 feet (350 meters) above the ground in a futuristic urban setting.
Musoni claimed the venue will be situated 1,150 feet (350 metres) above ground level.
While a stadium is indeed planned for The Line, the circulating images are AI creations and not official renderings of the project.
Official NEOM social media accounts on X and Instagram contain no such video or images of a stadium suspended at that height. The only official post related to NEOM Stadium, from December last year, confirms the stadium will be built at approximately 350 meters above ground.
The impressive stadium images shared online are AI-generated and do not match the official NEOM project designs, despite the planned stadium for The Line.
