Join Us to Commemorate Remembrance Sunday
Derby's residents are invited to take part in this year's Remembrance Sunday commemorations on Sunday, 9 November 2025, to honor the sacrifices of armed forces and emergency services members.
Remembrance Sunday Parade and Service
The city’s annual parade and service will return this November, uniting youth groups, veteran organisations, and community members. Starting at 10:45 AM, local veterans and youth groups will march through the city center to the Market Place, accompanied by the Salvation Army Band.
Service and Observance
At 10:55 AM, a brief service will be led by the Lord Bishop of Derby, assisted by the Very Rev'd Dr Peter Robinson, Dean of Derby. A two-minute silence will be observed during the service, followed by civic dignitaries and local groups laying wreaths at the War Memorial.

- The service will be live-streamed on a large screen in the Market Place.
- This year, troops from the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers 148 Divisional Support Company will not parade, but local youth and veteran organisations will participate as before.
