Experience the World Through Music and Dance at Fusion Beats 2025

The Sanderson Centre for the Performing Arts in Brantford will host Fusion Beats 2025 on Wednesday, November 19, 2025. The multicultural music and dance showcase is organized by Wilfrid Laurier University’s Hub for Community Solutions, Laurier International Student Support, the City of Brantford, and the Downtown Brantford BIA, with funding from Laurier Brantford Grants. Admission is free and open to all.

Celebrating Culture and Community

“Art, culture and community engagement are key priorities in the City of Brantford’s Inclusive City Strategy,” said Brantford Mayor Kevin Davis. “Fusion Beats is an opportunity for local performers to shine while celebrating the diversity that makes our city so vibrant.”

Now in its third year, Fusion Beats attracts hundreds of visitors from both the university and the wider community. The event brings together a wide range of artists, from line dancing groups to Hindi rap performers, reflecting the city’s cultural spirit.

Performers and Highlights

“As exciting as it is performing at Fusion Beats, I also look forward to hearing and seeing the other musicians and performers,” said Akhil Prabhu, a Laurier student and self-taught classical guitarist who will perform Latin and flamenco-inspired pieces during his second Fusion Beats appearance.

Fusion Beats 2025 promises an electric mix of styles and rhythms, highlighting cultural collaboration through live dance and music.
