Well-known TV chef and author Rick Stein will visit Morpeth Waterstones on Thursday, November 13, to sign copies of his latest book, Rick Stein’s Christmas. Caroline Dominey interviewed him about his inspiration and the meaning of Christmas.
He explained that the idea stemmed from his wife, Sarah, who suggested he should write a Christmas book. As she is Australian, she appreciates the celebration, which motivated him to explore recipes and traditions associated with the holiday.
"Christmas is something we all hold dear in our hearts, especially on this rainy island. It was a joy to create this tribute to a special time of year."
Stein mentions in his book his love for Christmas music and the tradition of Christmas No 1’s, emphasizing how much these elements resonate with him and, he believes, with others as well.
Rick Stein’s Christmas celebrates the warmth, flavors, and melodies of the holiday season, reflecting Stein's personal joy in this festive period.
