A man, who claimed that two teens drugged and sexually assaulted him instead of the other way around, will serve his 10-year prison sentence after his appeal was denied.
The case was heard by Justice John Harper in Brantford’s Superior Court in January 2023. The man, now 38, was convicted of seven sexual offenses against two minors, including sexual assault, sexual exploitation, sexual interference, and invitation to sexual touching.
During the trial, the man denied sexually assaulting his stepdaughter for two years and claimed he did not rape a 15-year-old girl who was with them at a local park to drink alcohol. Instead, he portrayed himself as a victim, alleging that the girls plotted to have him arrested, drugged, and raped him at the park.
Despite his claims, his appeal was unsuccessful, and the court upheld his sentence. The case highlights the complexities of legal proceedings involving allegations of child sexual offenses.
“A Brantford man who was sentenced to 10 years for sexual offenses has failed to overturn his conviction on appeal.”
