SOU Percussion Ensemble Launches Eclectic Playlist for 2025-26 Season
Southern Oregon University’s Percussion Ensemble offers a unique musical experience, open to any interested student at SOU. The ensemble, also known as SOUPE, aims to expose its members to a diverse range of musical styles from around the world.
By participating in the ensemble, students can gain an understanding of how to play instruments not commonly found in popular American music. The experience is open to students of all experience levels, although some musical experience is preferred. Instrumentalists from other disciplines are also welcome to join.
The ensemble meets once a week to work on their percussion skills and prepare for upcoming performances and recording opportunities. This eclectic playlist for the 2025-26 season promises to be an exciting experience for all involved.
