Callander Legion Launches Annual Poppy Campaign
The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 445 in Callander has launched its annual poppy campaign to support veterans.
It’s very important for us to go out in the community and display a poppy, to show our gratitude for what our veterans have done for us.
Cameron Clarke, first vice president of Branch 445, emphasized the importance of the campaign, stating that all collected funds go to veterans and their families for support.
- Poppy boxes will appear at various locations throughout the region.
- A ceremony was held at the Legion to officially launch this year’s campaign.
- Last year, the branch raised $10,000, with all money staying local.
