Balfour Beatty to Construct £162m Edinburgh Concert Hall
The Scottish Government has provided a £20m rescue package to move the project forward.
The project, which has been delayed for over six years, will finally commence construction after Balfour Beatty sealed the deal.
- Original contractor Sir Robert McAlpine exited the project last spring due to rising costs.
- Balfour Beatty was brought in to develop a build strategy for the complex city-centre site.
The landmark venue will provide a permanent home for the Scottish Chamber Orchestra and a major base for the Edinburgh International Festival.
