Beirut’s 'DIVAS' Exhibition Is a Love Letter to the Women Who Shaped Arab Music

The “DIVAS: From Oum Koulthoum to Dalida” exhibition at Beirut’s Sursock Museum is an immersive tribute to the artists who bridged Cairo, Beirut, and the world with their music and films.

Running from October 17, 2025, to January 11, 2026, the exhibition features cinematic screens, vintage posters, and couture gowns, including Fayrouz’s Baalbeck costumes and Sabah’s stage looks.

Beyond the glamour, the exhibition traces how these women used their voices to challenge norms and inspire independence movements, paying tribute to the women who defined Arab music, cinema, and style from the 1920s to today.

The exhibition is a tribute to the artists whose music and films inspired independence movements.

After touring Paris, Amsterdam, and Amman, the celebrated exhibition has arrived in Beirut, hosted by the Sursock Museum and presented by the Arab World Institute.
