Trump Commutes George Santos' Prison Sentence
President Donald Trump announced on social media that he is commuting the prison sentence of former Congressman George Santos.
Trump explained his decision by comparing Santos' situation to that of Democrat Senator Richard Blumenthal, who falsely claimed to be a Vietnam veteran.
"This is far worse than what George Santos did, and at least Santos had the Courage, Conviction, and Intelligence to ALWAYS VOTE REPUBLICAN!"
Trump also mentioned that Santos has been in solitary confinement for long stretches and
"has been horribly mistreated".
