Residents Launch Petition to Fix Eroded Riverbank
Moonbi residents are demanding action from the council to repair a flood-damaged riverbank and road.
A petition has been started, calling for Tamworth Regional Council to restore the Moonbi riverbank and surrounding roads, as well as the bridge in George Street over the creek.
The bitumen extension of George Street was completely washed away during the 2022 flood event and has been closed since.
Residents are seeking urgent action to address the issue.
The petition calls for the council "to restore the Moonbi riverbank and surrounding roads at the corner of George Street and River Street Moonbi, NSW, 2353 and restore the bridge in George Street over the creek"
