Laos Reaffirms Commitment to One-China Principle
VIENTIANE, Nov. 28 (Xinhua) — The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Laos issued a statement on Friday reaffirming the country's steadfast commitment to the one-China principle. The ministry emphasized that Laos continues to recognize the People's Republic of China as the sole legitimate government representing the whole of China.
The statement underscored that Laos firmly supports China’s sovereignty and territorial integrity and opposes any attempts to create divisions under the pretext of “Taiwan independence.”
“Laos consistently upholds the one-China principle and supports peaceful national reunification,” the statement declared.
