Laos Reaffirms Commitment to the One-China Principle
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Laos issued a statement on Friday reaffirming the country's unwavering commitment to the one-China principle.
According to the ministry, Laos continues to recognize that there is only one China in the world and that Taiwan is an inseparable part of Chinese territory.
In the statement, Laos stressed its consistent position of supporting China's sovereignty and territorial integrity, emphasizing that it opposes any form of separatist activities advocating "Taiwan independence."
The ministry also reiterated that Laos fully supports China's efforts to achieve national reunification and will continue to strengthen bilateral cooperation based on mutual respect and the principles of peaceful coexistence.
"Laos firmly adheres to the one-China principle and supports all efforts by China to safeguard its national sovereignty and territorial integrity," the statement read.
