One week into the college basketball season, Gonzaga’s Graham Ike continues to receive preseason All-American honors. After helping the Zags start 2-0 with victories over Texas Southern and Oklahoma, Ike was named a third team All-American by Sporting News on Monday morning.
Earlier, Ike was recognized as a CBS Sports Preseason Third Team All-American and was included on the preseason Naismith Award Watch List. He also earned spots on the preseason All-WCC First Team and the Karl Malone Power Forward watch list.
The Aurora, Colorado native has gotten off to a great start, scoring 32 points and grabbing 22 rebounds across the first two games. He opened with a 13-point, 11-rebound double-double against Texas Southern, followed by 19 points and 11 rebounds in the 83-68 win over Oklahoma at the Arena.
As a senior, Ike made 14 of 28 field goal attempts over the two games and contributed eight assists.
