The AFL has announced that Fremantle will face Collingwood at Adelaide Oval on Friday, 10 April 2026, as part of Round 5's Gather Round. The match is scheduled to start at 7:10pm local time (ACST).
The 2026 season will mark the fourth year of Gather Round. In 2025, a total of 269,506 fans attended the nine matches held across Adelaide Oval, Norwood Oval, and Barossa Park, with 36% of attendees traveling from interstate.
The 2026 Gather Round will coincide with the middle weekend of school holidays in Victoria, Queensland, and Western Australia, as well as the first weekend of school holidays in South Australia and New South Wales. These matches will follow the Easter weekend.
This will be the first time Fremantle and Collingwood meet at Adelaide Oval. Their most recent encounter in Round 19 of 2025 ended in a thrilling one-point victory for Fremantle. Fremantle holds a 2–1 record in the previous three Gather Rounds.
The AFL will announce the ticket on-sale date for Gather Round in the coming weeks.

On 24 October, Fremantle hosted the club’s annual Tri-Series Carnival. The Tendai Mzungu 16’s Squad competed against West Coast and the WAFL All Stars.
