The Cleveland Cavaliers faced the Chicago Bulls on Saturday night at Rocket Arena, overcoming an injury setback to win 128-122 and maintain their four-game winning streak.
Despite missing All-Star guard Darius Garland, who was rested to avoid playing back-to-back games after the previous night’s match against the Washington Wizards, the Cavaliers pushed through. Garland’s absence was a precaution by Cleveland to manage his playing time carefully.
The game saw the Cavs trailing 122-116 with just 1:47 remaining in the fourth quarter. However, Cleveland closed out the match on a 12-0 run, securing the comeback win.
Isaac Okoro, a former Cavs player, led Chicago with 19 points. The Bulls had gained a brief lead at 122-116 following guard Tre Jones' six consecutive foul shots on three trip visits to the free-throw line in the final minutes.
"The Cavs trailed 122-116 with 1:47 left in the fourth quarter, but they closed the game on a 12-0 run to beat the Bulls 128-122."
The victory improves the Cavs’ record to 7-3, while the Bulls fall to 6-3.
The Cavaliers overcame injuries and a late deficit to complete a decisive 12-0 run, extending their winning streak to four games with strong performances from Mitchell, Hunter, and Mobley.
