Former 'Wicked' Broadway Star Shoshana Bean Shares Her Thoughts on the Films

Shoshana Bean, who performed as Elphaba on Broadway from 2005 to 2006, shared why she hasn’t seen the first Wicked movie yet, despite the sequel Wicked: For Good releasing soon.

Waiting to Watch Both Films Together

In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE at the New York Restoration Project Hulaween Gala in New York City on October 24, Bean explained her decision to delay watching Wicked: Part 1.

“I waited until the second, so I could watch them back-to-back,” Bean, 48, said. She added that she’s “absolutely” thrilled to experience both films consecutively.

Anticipation for the Film Adaptation

Bean expressed enthusiasm about seeing the musical’s iconic number, “No Good Deed,” being translated to the big screen.

“It’s a very cinematic song, and I would love to see it have more life than what a stage is capable of doing,” she said.
“I could not even possibly imagine to the extent that Jon Chu’s genius can dream, can create.”
Summary

Shoshana Bean eagerly awaits watching both Wicked films back-to-back, excited to see how the movie adaptation enhances the stage musical's iconic moments.
